The Congregation Rodeph Sholom is synagogue that includes members from many communities including Bridgeport, Easton, Fairfield, Stratford, Westport, and many others. The congregation has chosen Wiles Architects to propose an all new design in a new location. The proposed design will combine the conservative and modern styles and life of its members.To the left hand side you will see preliminary renderings showing a massing model on the proposed site. These masses are not what the building will look like, but show an idea of how much space may be needed.
Black Rock Church

This design is a Second Floor Addition to the existing award winning design completed by Wiles Architects in 2014. Black Rock Church's Second Floor design will contain an all new Kids Worship Room, a contemporary open office area, which will encourage collaboration, multiple private office areas, and addition children's classrooms. construction is set to start in the Fall of 2018. Congregational Church
The design includes a new 950 seat, two-story Worship Center, several new Children and Youth areas, Welcoming Coffee Lounge, Counseling Offices, Chapel and Multipurpose Room located on the existing church site. Site contains sensitive Wetlands areas including a vernal pool. Innovative Storm Water Management system will be constructed to treat water off site and 25 acre water shed.
With many programs operating in the same time frame, the client desired a fully automated system that could be controlled simultaneously through a central computer. In addition to being remotely controlled, many spaces required rapid cooling or heating for their designated functions. This was accomplished through a hybrid design that took in to consideration all spaces needs and responded accordingly.
