Cherry Street Lofts

Bridgeport, CT

Wiles Architects began working on the construction administration phase of the Cherry Street Lofts in Bridgeport, CT in 2018. Currently we are working on the third phase of this project, which includes the research, design, and restoration of a series of historical factories in the heart of the west end of Bridgeport, CT, into a mix of affordable and luxury housing. We are currently in the existing conditions documentation phase of this project. The newest technology we have used to document the conditions of these historical buildings was with the use of company that aided us in the 3D imaging and of the buildings in its exact state. From this technology we are accurately able to document and recreate the  buildings in other software such as Revit, with precision accuracy.

Saybrook Village Housing

 Old Saybrooke, CT

An extension of the existing Old Saybrook “West” housing campus. There are 18 one bedroom units with 5 ADA units. On site parking is provided for all Tenants. The design of the new buildings blinds nicely into the existing complex so that the final development appears as one campus. Of particular challenge was the structural earth filling of the entire site as well as the sanitary and storm sewer systems. Saye Brooke Village is also Energy Star Certified, which means that the buildings save energy, save money, and help protect the environment by generating fewer greenhouse gas emissions than typical buildings. It currently has a rating of 75 which means that It performs 75% better than average buildings.

Park City Supportive & Elderly

   Bridgeport, CT

Adaptive reuse project. Abandon former Park City Hospital converted into 120 Living Units of Supportive& Elderly Living. Six Story concrete frame structure presented extreme" rubix cube" unit layout challenges. Functional layout was achieved by embracing current geriatric design concept of creating smaller units and larger gathering spaces located on every floor to encourage interaction of residents. An inviting Dining Room augments the underlying design theme of community.
