Stern Village has aged well over the years by diligent maintenance by the Housing Authority, but it is in need of modernization as Kitchens, doors, walls, and appliances reach the end of their expected life. THA therefore has launched an ambiguous moderate renovation project to address the aging buildings and infrastructure. A separate ongoing energy improvements project joins into this renovation project so that all units will be updated. The energy Improvement Project involves the removal of the existing base board heaters and the installation of energy efficient heat pumps.
