Penfield Beach Pavillion

The second phase of a two phase project, Wiles Architects was commissioned to provide a new public beach facility for the Town of Fairfield. A 2,500 s.f. gathering room, public restrooms, and a concession kitchen were incorporated into the existing locker rooms. Wiles Architects fastidious determination and dedication to design, brought the project in on time and under budget.
Trumbull High School Pool
Trumbull, CT
An Educational and community use pool dedicated to providing a location where Trumbull families and students can use the pool for a wide variety of events. The seven lane completion pool is separated from the diving portion to allow for maximum use of the facility. A separate warm therapy whirlpool is conveniently located adjacent to the pool for Senior Citizen or Trumbull residences.
The state of the art filter system is celebrated by being visible from the street to illustrate the extensive equipment required to operate the pool.Public spaces, lobbies and locker room are centrally located for a functional and economical operational layout.
Many sustainable design strategies where included including solar, passive heat gain, recycled materials, and efficient ventilation systems with heat recovery components.
Concession Stand Concepts
Trumbull High School | Trumbull, CT
The existing Concession Stand and Field House at Trumbull High School was in dire need of an upgrade. Originally a one-story concrete block building that served as both kitchen and storage room. Wiles Architects took it upon themselves to re-imagine this important game day facility with a little more energy.
Lauralton Hall Field House and Concession Stand
Milford, CT
Wiles+Architects was hired by Lauralton Hall High School to create a new Field House that fit well with the existing historical environment. Their Field House includes a concession stand, a men’s and women’s bathroom and a storage area.
Lauralton Hall Gaurd House
Milford, CT
Wiles+Architects was hired by Lauralton Hall High School to create a new Guard House, that would shelter the entry guards, that assist those who wish to enter the school. The Guard House is still undergoing many conceptual design changes and a date for construction has not been decided..
